Our partner, a leading AI-native cybersecurity company, is seeking a highly skilled Backend Cloud Engineer to join their North San Jose office. You will play a pivotal role in building cloud backends and data pipelines that power an innovative AI-based cybersecurity platform trusted by Fortune 500 companies. In this role, you'll lead technical delivery from design through deployment across AWS and Azure environments, with a strong focus on best practices like CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and test automation. As a Backend Cloud Engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including AI, product, and engineering, to ensure the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of backend services. Your expertise in backend software engineering, serverless architectures, Python, and cloud-native data pipelines will be essential. You will be expected to deeply integrate into codebases, participate in on-call rotations, and actively contribute to the team's engineering practices. You will play a pivotal role in building cloud backends and data pipelines that power an innovative AI-based cybersecurity platform trusted by Fortune 500 companies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical delivery from design through deployment across AWS and Azure environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on backend systems development.
  • Design and build APIs and asynchronous systems with robust error handling.
  • Ensure reliability and scalability of backend services using CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Champion best practices in observability and test automation.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in backend or cloud engineering.
  • Strong experience with AWS and Azure services, serverless architectures, and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native data pipelines using tools like AWS Kinesis or Kafka.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with distributed teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
