Codex Studios is seeking a skilled Back End Platform Engineer to join the team responsible for modernizing our client's internal Content and Asset Management Platform. This platform is vital for delivering scalable and reliable digital experiences across web and native applications. As an integral part of this initiative, you'll design and develop robust backend services that enhance platform reliability, scalability, and innovation speed.

Responsibilities

• Build and modernize backend services powering an internal CMS and asset management platform
• Design and maintain schemas, domain services, and APIs that support reusable digital experiences
• Develop APIs consumed by multiple front-end and product teams for content, configuration, and experimentation
• Collaborate closely with front-end platform teams to enable fast, reliable authoring and delivery workflows
• Design services with security, permissions, and role-based access in mind
• Reduce legacy platform complexity while maintaining stability in a mission-critical system
• Collaborate with Product, Platform Engineering, and partner teams to deliver high-impact enhancements

What You Bring

• Experience building scalable backend services with Node.js
• Knowledge of Java (Spring Boot) for platform services
• Proficiency in MongoDB for schema and data model management
• Skills in designing and maintaining REST APIs
• Strong understanding of service-oriented and API-first architectures
• Familiarity with containerized environments and modern deployment patterns
